two prints 2008 and 2011

A print featuring a pixilated image of drippy paint, in deep blue on a very dark black ground. The pixels are little luminous dots surrounded by a soft, hazy halo. The source of this image was an older photograph taken in my studio, which showed two or three unfinished paintings that were later abandoned. One painting, in particular, seemed worth revisiting, so I enlarged the photograph, corrected the proportions of the painting, and used the resulting image as the source for this print.

An abstract, geometric print related to a series of colorful watercolors. This image shows a stack of semi-transparent, white diamonds, overlapping each other in measured increments. The print image is the inverse of the watercolor image, and without the colors of the paintings.
